Location: Western Province, Papua New Guinea

Sustainable Development Program (SDP) is seeking three experienced and dynamic leaders to manage community development programs across Western Province.

The successful candidates will be based in Western Province and report to the Director Community Development. The positions will provide leadership for SDP's key community development programs.

  2. Senior Program Manager Leadership and Governance
  3. Senior Program Manager Food Security

Program Areas

Senior Program Manager WASH

Responsible for programs focused on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene.

Senior Program Manager Leadership and Governance

Responsible for the Gutpela Lida Framework and institutional strengthening initiatives.

Senior Program Manager Food Security

Responsible for the Gutpela Femili Farm Team and climate resilience programs.

About The Roles

The Senior Program Managers will lead the design, implementation and monitoring of strategic community development programs. The roles will involve providing leadership to multidisciplinary teams, developing partnerships with government, communities and development stakeholders, managing program resources and budgets, and delivering sustainable development outcomes for communities across Western Province.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Governance, Agriculture or Community Development.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading community development, infrastructure or institutional strengthening programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in remote and rural environments.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and program management skills.

Location And Accommodation

All three positions are based in Western Province.

Accommodation arrangements will be considered in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Employment Contract and workforce planning requirements.
