Job Vacancy: Administration Officer (Education)

Location: Balimo Hub, Western Province (with regular travel across Western Province)

PNG Sustainable Development Program Ltd (SDP) is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administration Officer – Education to provide comprehensive administrative, logistical, procurement, and operational support across PNGSDP’s education initiatives.

Reporting to the Program Manager – Education, this role ensures the seamless delivery of daily program operations, infrastructure support, teaching resource distribution, registration workflows, governance workshops, and external coaching schedules.

About the Role

  • Support administrative processes, day-to-day communications, and file management for the education department.
  • Assist with inventory, tracking, and issuance of ICT hardware (laptops, computers, projectors) and facilitate internet connectivity support requests.
  • Coordinate local travel, MAF flights, dinghy/vehicle transport, accommodation, and venue bookings for staff and visiting facilitators.
  • Track and support procurement procedures for supplies, office consumables, and program materials in compliance with SDP guidelines.
  • Manage teaching and learning resource distribution, including tablets, solar chargers, calculators, and printed materials.
  • Provide administrative support for student applications, intake registration, and record-keeping.
  • Assist in processing course fee subsidies, financial assistance forms, and invoice payments.
  • Handle event logistics, scheduling, catering, and venue arrangements for training, governance workshops, and stakeholder consultations.
  • Coordinate external coaching and mentoring schedules, ensuring smooth communication between participants and mentors.

Essential Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Education, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in administration, logistics, or program support, ideally within education or community development.
  • Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel for tracking, Word for reporting).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly across Western Province.

Location & Accommodation

All roles are based in the Western Province. Accommodation arrangements will be considered in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Employment Contract and workforce planning requirements.
