About the Program
The Graduate Development Scheme (GDS) is a rigorous two-year program designed to provide recent graduates with hands-on experience and mentorship in their chosen fields. OTML is committed to developing the skills of PNG nationals, who make up 98% of our workforce. Our extensive training programs span all levels and disciplines, ensuring that emerging professionals receive the support and guidance needed to excel.
As a participant in the GDS, you will work alongside seasoned professionals, gaining valuable insights and experience in a world-class mining environment.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the 2025 GDS, you must:
- Be a PNG citizen
- Be a final-year undergraduate in 2024, studying at a PNG or overseas university
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or a Cumulative Weighted Average of 75% or above in your last three semesters
- Demonstrate strong leadership potential and the following qualities:
- Outstanding safety and health practices
- Leadership experience or potential
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Confidence and decision-making ability
- Teamwork, flexibility, and adaptability
- Problem analysis and solving skills
- Consistent academic excellence
- Effective planning and organizational skills
