Position Overview
Reporting to the Supervisor Crane Operations, the Crane Operator will handle daily crane and rigging duties, ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain equipment reliability
- Conduct daily inspections of cranes and rigging equipment
- Prepare lift plans and ensure proper documentation for all crane operations
- Collaborate with Supervisors and other departments to coordinate crane operations
- Assist with planning and scheduling of crane operations, including shutdowns
- Foster a strong health and safety culture within the team, aiming for zero harm
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 certificate
- Mobile Crane Open (CO) Operators Permit
- Basic Rigger Certification and Vehicle Loading Crane Permit
- Experience with Large Liebherr All Terrain Cranes & Clam Shell Bucket Operation
- 5+ years of experience in mining, oil & gas, or construction
- Strong knowledge of crane maintenance and safe work procedures
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
