MiBank is hiring a Compliance Manager to join its Risk Unit at the Bank's Head Office in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
This role is responsible for strengthening the Bank's compliance culture, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, managing compliance risks, and providing oversight of AML transaction monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with Legal to develop and maintain the Bank's Obligations Register.
- Raise awareness of Compliance and AML requirements and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments in collaboration with Operational Risk.
- Identify compliance vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans.
- Educate employees on compliance obligations and promote a culture of integrity.
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a key contact for external regulatory bodies.
- Maintain a register of requests and issues raised by the Bank of Papua New Guinea.
- Prepare compliance and risk reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Provide oversight of AML transaction monitoring activities.
- Support the identification, management and reporting of compliance breaches.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Compliance, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Experience or exposure to AML Transaction Monitoring.
- Strong understanding of financial sector compliance obligations and the AML/CTF Act 2015.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and core banking software.
- Understanding of risk assessments and quality assurance checks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to analyse regulations and apply them to business operations.
