Senior Systems Administrator – Infrastructure

About the Role

MRDC Group is seeking a skilled Senior Systems Administrator – Infrastructure to manage and support enterprise IT systems. The role ensures reliability, security, and performance of infrastructure services aligned with business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server and Linux environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365
• Manage virtualisation platforms and enterprise storage systems
• Oversee LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, routing, switching, and VoIP/IP PABX
• Strengthen cybersecurity through patching, monitoring, and vulnerability assessments
• Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity systems
• Manage hybrid cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure
• Provide Level 2/3 support and contribute to ICT projects
• Develop documentation and support automation initiatives

Requirements

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• 5–8 years experience in systems administration or infrastructure roles
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V/Proxmox
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure or AWS, and networking systems
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, Azure, Security+, RHCSA, VCP, ITIL) are an advantage
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
