Air Niugini National Pilot Cadet Training Program

Air Niugini is inviting applications from motivated young Papua New Guineans who are interested in pursuing a professional career in aviation through its National Pilot Cadet Training Program.

The program is designed to develop successful candidates to obtain a Commercial Pilot Licence through structured and internationally recognised flight training that meets all Papua New Guinea aviation regulatory standards.

Program Overview

Successful applicants will be inducted into the airline operating environment before undertaking an ab initio pilot training course in Australia. The training program will run for approximately 13 months.

Candidate Expectations

Applicants must demonstrate strong commitment, motivation, and discipline. Candidates are expected to maintain a positive attitude, commit to continuous learning, and uphold international aviation standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12 education with A or B passes in Physics, Advanced Mathematics, and Language and Literature (Applied English)
• Aged between 18 and 25 years
• Single with no children
• Minimum height of 163 centimetres
• Medically fit and free from any illnesses or medical conditions

Applicants must be prepared to undergo an intensive recruitment and selection process to be conducted in Port Moresby.
