Current Vacancies:
- Board Secretariat
Reporting to the Chairman of the NMSA Board, this role involves providing efficient secretariat services, facilitating corporate governance, and offering support and advice to board directors and executive management.
- Accountant
Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, you will manage all accounting functions, including the production of financial statements and ensuring compliance with the Finance Act 2000.
- Internal Auditor
Reporting directly to the GM/CEO, this role involves conducting independent audits of NMSA’s systems and processes, ensuring best practices in governance and risk management.
- Standard Auditor
Reporting to the Senior Standards Auditor, you will coordinate internal audits to ensure compliance with NMSA policies, the IMO Instruments Code, and related maritime standards.
- International Liaison Officer (Engagement)
Reporting to the Senior International Liaison Officer, you will manage liaison with the International Maritime Organisation and other regional bodies, ensuring effective representation in international forums.
- International Liaison Officer (Treaties)
Reporting to the Senior International Liaison Officer, you will provide advice on the implementation of international maritime treaties and assist in policy development related to NMSA's statutory obligations.
- Community Development Officer
Reporting to the Senior Community Development Officer, you will support the Community Engagement Program and the Community-Based Security Management of Lighthouses program.
- Accounts Payable Officer
Reporting to the Accountant, you will manage revenue collection and billing within the Accounts Department.
- Human Resource Officer
Reporting to the Team Leader Human Resources, you will assist with recruitment, staff welfare, training, development, and other HR functions.
- Labour Shipping Officer
Reporting to the Senior Qualification Officer, you will manage certifications for seafarer qualifications in accordance with the PNG Merchant Shipping Act and the STCW code.
- Senior Qualification Officer - Nautical
Reporting to the Qualification Officer Manager, you will advise on ship qualifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
