The Company is seeking an exceptional candidate to engage across the business at all levels to analyze and evaluate accounting documents, review, and analyze business processes.

INTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER

Based at the Company’s Head Office in Port Moresby, you will be required to lead internal audits, producing reports and recommendations for Management and Audit & Risk Committee. Thereby provides Management with independent, timely and reasonable assurance that internal control systems are adequate and effective as well as the following:


Undertaking internal audits to ensure the company meets its financial, operational and compliance objectives.

Development of annual audit and assurance plan & reporting process; this includes prioritizing and addressing ad-hoc risks as identified.

Reporting on control deficiencies to management and Audit & Risk Committee and making recommendations to mitigate risk.

Challenging current processes across the company and identify opportunities to improve controls effectively and operational efficiencies.

Playing an active role in the maintaining, reviewing and updating of policies and procedures, including ensuring they are consistent to relevant legislation and best practices.

Communicating with a variety of stakeholders across the company, including reporting to the Executive Leadership Team and Audit & Risk Committee of the Board.

Provides management with advice and support.

About You:


Tertiary qualified – A recognized Accounting, banking, internal audit or other relevant professional qualification is required.

At least 6 years of working experience, Big 4 and commercial experience preferred.

Experience in end-to-end project management, system evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Willing to travel up to 70% annually.

An ethical and honest individual, demonstrates a high level of integrity, trust, objectivity and confidentiality.

Independently operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects/initiatives.
