About the role
· Flexible working hours
· Assist in delivering project objectives effectively, accurately and in an efficient manner
· Undertake structural documentation in accordance with the relevant standards
· Exposure to a range of projects, including residential additions/alterations, new architecturally designed homes, concrete framed buildings, mixed use developments and industrial warehouses.
· Assist in developing and maintaining an extensive library of standard details.
Who are we looking for?
· A strong attention to detail and accuracy in compiling project documentation.
· Experience in compiling documentation, maintaining transmittals and documentation control.
· Experience in issuing documentation and transmittals.
· Minimum of 2 years local experience of working with PNG companies.
· Experience in structural documentation of steel, concrete, timber, masonry, retaining wall structures, shoring, aluminium and pools.
· Knowledge of relevant PNG Standards and the National Construction code.
· Positive “can do” attitude.
· Strong client focus with good interpersonal skills.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Have the ability to work well as part of a team, and at times work autonomously.
Skills and Experience
· Demonstrated, relevant drafting experience.
· Good understanding of technical engineering with demonstrated understanding of construction practices, and experience within a design consultancy environment.
· Knowledge of the appropriate software used in the field of structural engineering.
