Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) is seeking an experienced Internal Audit executive for the role of Head of Internal Audit. This leadership role supports the NSL vision and strategic goals for the Internal Audit Department to provide robust oversight and monitoring of internal controls and assurance of business operations to Management and the Trustee Board of Directors.
Reporting directly to the Audit and Risk Committee, the Head of Internal Audit is independent of Management in undertaking its duties.
The incumbent will play an integral part in overseeing and supporting the delivery of all Internal Audit plans, projects and assisting the governance of the Fund by ensuring appropriate controls are in place and sufficient for each business unit. The incumbent will also leverage on the organisations data, business processes and risks to provide insights that add value to internal audit’s engagement and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees all required activities as related to the Audit and Risk Committee.
- Providing strategic leadership, planning and guidance to the Internal Audit team for maintaining all controls and tools to execute internal audit plans.
- Maintaining security controls to ensure integrity and privacy of internal audit data, information and content.
- Ensuring teams development.
- Providing reports to management, Audit and Risk Committee and Board as required.
- Supervising all planned risk-based assignments.
- Ensuring follow-up audits are completed.
- Managing Internal Audit functions budget.
- Skills and Experience
- At least 5+ years’ experience in leading Internal Audit at an Executive level.
- Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Business Studies.
- Extensive experience with planning, investigative, execution and management of a high-performing Internal Audit team.
- A current member of a Chartered Practising Accountants (CPA) and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
- Proven experience in Internal Audit and Risk management or Business Intelligence.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
- Working Knowledge of core organisational processes and their relation to transactional data.
- Effective Communication Skills and the ability to articulate data insights to stakeholders.
