 JOB VACANCY: GENERAL MANAGER – CAMG

PNG Air is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the position of General Manager – Continuing Airworthiness Management Group (CAMG).

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Control
• Ensure the fleet is maintained in accordance with CASA-approved programmes and the Continuing Airworthiness Management Manual.
• Oversee MEL creation, defect management, and maintenance certification/release to service.
• Manage modifications, repairs, logbooks and Airworthiness Directive compliance.
• Liaise with Airline Operations, MRO and external maintenance providers.
• Ensure accurate and compliant maintenance records.
• Forecasting & Planning
• Plan maintenance activities to avoid exceeding airworthiness limitations.
• Produce maintenance forecasts and Work Packs aligned with operational demand and Part 145 production planning.
• Regulatory Compliance & Approvals
• Issue and maintain Permit to Fly and liaise directly with CASA.
• Maintain and amend the Continuing Airworthiness Management Manual.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions arising from audits and ensure airworthiness certification requirements are met.
• Aircraft Records
• Manage maintenance tracking systems, including inspections, component lives and scheduled/unscheduled events.
• Ensure accurate aircraft logbook maintenance records.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should have:

• At least 5 years of technical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory position.
• Demonstrated clear knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance and the company's exposure to applicable maintenance provisions of CASA Part 121.
• A valid CASA-approved Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
• General airline experience with a thorough understanding of airline commercial/private operations.
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
• Strong planning and cost-control capabilities.
