Join our team and play a key role in supporting responsible lending while helping expand access to financial services across Papua New Guinea.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Credit Analyst to join our Credit Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing loan applications, evaluating credit risk, and providing recommendations that support sound lending decisions while promoting financial inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze loan applications from small business and individual clients.
- Review financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and supporting financial information.
- Conduct credit investigations, verify collateral, and evaluate clients' repayment capacity.
- Prepare clear and accurate credit assessment reports with recommendations for approval or decline.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify potential credit risks or early signs of delinquency.
- Liaise with branch staff, customers, and external agencies to obtain relevant information.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in credit analysis, banking, microfinance, or a related financial services environment.
- Good understanding of financial statement analysis and cash flow assessment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using banking or financial management systems will be an advantage.
