TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – CPL Group, Papua New Guinea

CPL Group is seeking a proactive and passionate Training & Development Officer to join its People & Culture team. This role will support the development of a skilled, motivated, and high-performing workforce across the organisation.
The successful candidate will assist in assessing training needs, developing and delivering training programs, coordinating onboarding activities, and supporting continuous learning and career growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Training Manager in planning annual and quarterly training and development programs
- Prepare and facilitate onboarding and induction sessions for new employees
- Deliver group and one-on-one training across various departments
- Monitor training activities at store level and provide recommendations for improvement
Technical Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resource Management, Psychology, or a related field
- Train-the-Trainer certification is an advantage
- Minimum three years’ experience in training, including customer service training
- Solid understanding of training methods, adult learning principles, and competency development
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage employees
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- Confident facilitator able to deliver training across various levels
