About Us
The Civil and Identity Registry (CIR) is the national authority responsible for civil and identity registration in Papua New Guinea. Its mission is to provide legal identity for all Papua New Guineans and to establish a universal civil registration and vital statistics system. This system helps every citizen access their rights and services, supports effective governance, and provides essential demographic data.
This recruitment drive directly contributes to PNG Vision 2050, emphasizing a robust national identity system. It also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Target 16.9, which aims to provide legal identity for all, including birth registration.
CIR is seeking enthusiastic and responsible Upper Secondary School Students (Grades 10–12) to join as Student Volunteers to support community outreach teams. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public service, learn about civic identity, and develop professional skills.
Volunteers will have the chance to assist in registration, back-office processing, and document issuance.
