We are inviting applications from qualified and passionate individuals for the position of DME Team Lead, based in Honiara.
Purpose of the Role
The DME Team Lead will provide technical leadership and strategic direction to WVSI’s Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation (DME) operations. This role ensures programs are delivered effectively, efficiently, and with accountability, while promoting learning and continuous improvement. The position also supports grant acquisition, data management, and community accountability systems, ensuring community voices shape WVSI’s programming.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate DME processes to ensure quality and timely project design, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Provide reliable data and insights to inform leadership decisions and strategic planning.
• Support grant acquisition and management through accurate and timely reporting.
• Oversee WVSI’s community accountability framework to strengthen program responsiveness.
• Maintain and enhance WVSI’s knowledge management and learning systems.
• Build the capacity of DME and Knowledge Management Officers through technical mentorship and on-the-job training.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 5–10 years of experience in program design, monitoring, evaluation, and capacity building.
• Proven experience working with major donors such as DFAT, EU, USAID, or UN agencies.
• Strong influencing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to apply quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English.
• Advanced computer literacy, including SPSS, KoboTool, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of the NGO sector and experience managing teams in complex environments.
