 The Brian Bell Group (BBG), Papua New Guinea’s leading retailer, wholesaler, and distributor of household goods and services since 1958, is expanding and looking for skilled tradespeople to join its Property Division in Lae. Available Positions

• Plumber / Licensed Gas Fitter (Tradesman)

Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage systems. Conduct quality inspections and ensure all equipment meets safety and compliance standards.

• Electrician (Tradesman)

Maintain and repair electrical power, lighting, and communication systems. Enforce safety regulations, interpret blueprints, and supervise trade assistants.

• Carpenter (Tradesman)

Build, install, repair, and maintain structures and fixtures while ensuring work meets safety standards and project specifications.

• Painter

Prepare and paint surfaces with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality finishes across various structures and equipment.

Requirements

1. Grade 12 education or higher
2. Trade Certificate in relevant field (NATTB recognized)
3. Valid Gas Fitting License (for Plumber / Licensed Gas Fitter)
4. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar corporate environment
5. Ability to work unsupervised, including on-call work
6. Strong knowledge of industry safety regulations
7. Good communication skills and attention to detail
8. Team-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
9. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, evenings, and special events as required
10. Preferred: Class 3 or Class 6 Driver’s License
