Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is an international Christian organisation whose mission is to fly light aircraft and use other technology to bring help, hope, and healing to people in some of the world’s most isolated and poorest communities.
MAF has been operating in Papua New Guinea since 1951 and currently has 10 aircraft serving more than 200 airstrips nationwide.
We are seeking a Traffic Officer to join our Ground Operations Department in Tari.
Key Responsibilities:
The Traffic Officer plays an important role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of MAF’s aircraft and base activities. This hands-on position involves:
- Flight dispatch
- Cargo handling
- Customer service
- Refueling
- Ticketing
All responsibilities are carried out with a commitment to safety and excellence. You will also be part of a team that values spiritual growth and actively participates in MAF’s mission to share God’s love through aviation.
Recruitment Requirements:
- Education & Qualifications:
- Minimum completed Grade 12 education (or higher).
- Tertiary or relevant aviation experience will be an advantage.
- Police Clearance Certificate.
- Basic First Aid Certificate.
- Driver’s Licence.
- Job-Related Experience & Knowledge:
- Experience in aviation or service industry preferred.
- Knowledge of ground operations activities.
- Basic computer literacy.
Skills, Abilities & Personal Qualities:
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and compliance.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to live and work in Tari.
