Job : Risk Officer - Nambawan Super

Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) invites applications from qualified and motivated professionals for the position of Risk Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role reports to the Manager Risk within the Risk and Compliance Department.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and monitor operational, financial, investment, and strategic risks.
  • Work with business units to implement timely risk mitigation measures.
  • Track the Fund’s risk exposure and evaluate the effectiveness of controls.
  • Support the development and review of the Fund’s risk management framework.
  • Promote a risk-aware culture by providing training and guidance to staff.

Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in risk management, audit, or corporate governance, preferably in financial services or superannuation.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct risk profiling, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
  • Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and ability to work in Port Moresby.
