1. CHRIS21 Administrator

Primary Objective

  • Responsible for maintaining and supporting the standardised human resource management system Chris21 to meet PNG Power’s business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Commerce or a related field

Experience and Skills

  • Track record in information systems and administration
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network infrastructure
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications

  • Experience with Chris21 and HR21 Self-Service
  • System analysis and design
  • Day-to-day system administration
  • Innovative, results-driven, organized, honest, and respectful
  • Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills

2. Distribution Design Engineer - Rural Services (National Office)

Primary Objective

  • Responsible for distribution design services supporting rural electrification and connectivity projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Project Management qualification or equivalent experience
  • Registered member with the Institute of Engineers PNG

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in engineering within the power industry
  • Field investigations and project economic assessments
  • Project planning, costing, and standards compliance
  • Engineering design software proficiency
  • Ability to produce detailed electrical designs
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Strong project management, communication, leadership, and team skills


3. Substation Design Engineer (National Office)

Primary Objective

  • Responsible for designing high voltage substations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Project Management qualification or equivalent experience
  • Registered member with the Institute of Engineers PNG

Experience and Skills

  • Proven track record in substation design within the power sector
  • Proficiency in load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, insulation coordination
  • Ability to develop technical specs and detailed engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of CAD software and international standards
  • Collaborative approach with technical and project teams
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills


4. Technical Officer - Substation Design (National Office)


Primary Objective

  • Provide technical support in the design and implementation of high voltage substation projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field

Experience and Skills

  • Experience supporting engineering teams in design projects
  • Proficiency in CAD software for technical drawings
  • Project documentation and technical data analysis
  • Organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and design standards
  • Detail-oriented, innovative, and results-driven


5. Surveyor (National Office)

Primary Objective

  • Provide accurate survey data to support infrastructure and power projects across PNG.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or Geomatics
  • Project Management qualification or equivalent experience

Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience conducting surveys and using modern equipment
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, or Leica
  • Ability to prepare survey reports and interpret plans
  • Knowledge of PNG survey regulations and legal frameworks
  • Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
  • Physically fit and capable of fieldwork in various conditions
  • Detail-focused, innovative, and results-oriented
  • An attractive remuneration package is offered, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
