Since 1951, MAF has been operating in Papua New Guinea, using light aircraft and advanced technology to bring help, hope, and healing to those in need. With a fleet of 10 aircraft serving approximately 200 airstrips across the country, MAF plays a vital role in connecting remote communities.

We are currently seeking a skilled and committed individual to join our Engineering Department as an Avionics Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) based in Mt Hagen.

Position Overview:

As an Avionics LAME , you will play a critical role in ensuring the airworthiness and reliability of our aircraft, enabling us to continue delivering life-changing services to remote communities. This position requires technical expertise, a proactive approach, and a heart for service.

Key Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CASA PNG License in the categories of Electrical, Instrument, and Radio (desirable), or an ICAO aircraft maintenance engineer license .
• Possess a valid police clearance certificate .

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years of aviation maintenance experience , with specific expertise in Electrical, Instrument, and Radio systems relevant to program aircraft.
• Experience with Cessna Caravan 208 and Garmin 1000 systems (highly desirable).

Personal Qualities:

• A committed and mature Christian with a passion for serving others.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Strong aptitude in verbal, numerical, abstract, and mechanical reasoning.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Demonstrates good followership and leadership qualities when required.
