Air Niugini Ltd is seeking a dedicated and motivated Procurement Coordinator to join our Procurement Team in Port Moresby. This role reports directly to the Executive Manager - Procurement, Logistics, Inventory and works closely with the Assistant Procurement Manager, departmental heads, and staff to ensure efficient procurement of goods and services for the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the procurement process in alignment with Air Niugini's policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update procurement and contract records.
  • Generate reports on procurement activities and contracts.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct procurement research and develop tender documents (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, EOIs).
  • Manage procurement information through the Procurement Contract Database Management System.
  • Organize and coordinate Procurement Committee meetings, including preparing agendas, presentations, and recording minutes.
  • Liaise with the Marketing Department to prepare procurement tender advertisements.
  • Manage the tender process using Procurement Tender software.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Business degree or related qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • A valid driver’s license is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
  • Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage tender and contract database software.
  • Positive relationship-building skills with partners and suppliers.
