New Porgera Limited (NPL), a leading mining company in Papua New Guinea, is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as Senior Specialist – ED Trainer, Leadership, Coaching & Mentoring. About the Role
The Senior Specialist – ED Trainer will be responsible for developing and implementing training plans focused on Leadership, Coaching, and Mentoring for frontline leaders within operational departments. This role supports the Leadership Development Program (LDP) and involves coaching and preparing high-potential and emerging leaders across the site to excel in supervisory and leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training plans while maintaining the training matrix.
- Schedule and facilitate classroom training sessions and workshops.
- Create training materials and lesson plans aligned with leadership development goals.
- Collaborate with Superintendents and Foremen to support frontline leaders in achieving KPIs.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and leadership development support to NPL frontline leaders.
- Write detailed training reports and evaluate feedback to enhance training effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with NPL’s Occupational Health & Safety Policy and maintain high safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant training qualifications, including Cert IV in Training and Assessment, Leadership Management, or Adult Literacy.
- In-depth knowledge of adult learning theories and experience conducting professional learning workshops.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior supervisory role in mining operations or maintenance departments.
- Strong background in delivering leadership training and development programs.
- Valid Class 3 (PNG) driver’s license.
- Mobilization Requirements
- Open to PNG citizens only.
- Rotation: Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) – 21 days on, 14 days off.
- Current Police Clearance Certificate (issued within the last six months).
- Successful completion of pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol testing.
