Supervisor - Main Warehouse (TP_1774)
Position Objective
The incumbent will supervise the storemen and warehouse operators in the daily, weekly and monthly activities of warehousing and distribution
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise staff engaged in material receiving, storage and distribution
- Oversee Warehouse daily issues, deliveries and updates
- Investigate and action any discrepancies
- Ensure a secure and safe working environment
- Daily housekeeping of Warehouse’s and Laydown Yards
- Weekly and monthly Critical Counts and reconciliation
- Reagent Control and Issues, weekly reconciliations
- Ensure adequate manpower for Daily tasks, allowing for ongoing trainings
- Control and monitor staff rosters, field breaks, annual leave etc.
The ideal candidate must have:
- Grade 10 or above educational qualification
- Training and job experience in Warehousing and distribution
- Experience with Mining equipment and terms
- Computer systems literacy, organized work habits and good communication skills
- Forklift Operators Permits or ability to obtain one.
