We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and vibrant individuals to join our Quality & Compliance team based in Lae to ensure quality products are always produced consistently and are safe and wholesome for human consumption. The following roles are vacant.
QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER
THE ROLE
Will ensure that all external and internal requirements are met before our products reach our customers.
Will be responsible for inspecting procedures and outputs and identifying non-conformity issues.
Must be a reliable and competent professional whose approval is necessary for the continuation of our business cycle.
The ultimate goal is to assure the quality of our operations and services for the purpose of the long-term success of our business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop procedures to inspect and report quality issues
- Monitor end-to-end business operations that affect quality
- Supervise and guide quality inspectors, technicians and other staff
- Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output
- Review the customer’s requirements and make sure they are satisfied
- Evaluate suppliers and service providers and make sure they consistently meet required standards
- Report all quality deviation to production and other lead teams for immediate corrective action
- Facilitate continuous improvement projects by collecting and analysing quality data
- Continuous review of standards, procedures and policies
- Keep records of quality reports and relevant documents
- Ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements
- Communicate with external quality assurance officers in line with on-site and external inspections
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Proven experience as a quality assurance manager or relevant role in the food manufacturing industry for 3-5 years.
- Thorough knowledge methodologies of quality assurance and standards
- Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical method
- Good knowledge of MS office and database
- Outstanding communication skills
- Great attention to detail with results driven approach
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology or related Science field with 5 years or more in a similar role.
- Good understanding of HACCP/ISO 22000 implementation and auditing
DOCUMENT CONTROLLERS
THE ROLE
- Will be responsible for Quality and Safety Management Systems documentations,
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and standardize business procedures and record sheets
- Effectively manage and maintain all company-controlled documents through the document control procedure
- Create and manage document hierarchy and process systems
- Conduct document audits confirming they are current, controlled and accurately reflecting recorded evidence.
- Ensure revised documents are accessible to all required users
- Assist with communication during external audits
- Train document users in document control processes to ensure correct handling of documents at all levels.
- Oversee document through its entire lifecycle from inception to archival
- Create document filing and organizing systems that are effective and efficient
- Create document register and log requests and retrieve documents as and when needed
- Confirm delivery of documents to proper recipients
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Detail oriented with meticulous work ethics
- Effective organizational skills and efficient
- Proven skills for creating and implementing controlled document process
- Able to work well under pressure with impressive stress management skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proactive in identifying errors and making appropriate changes
- Excellent time management skills
- Good knowledge of MS office and database
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology, Environmental Science or relate field with more than 3 years’ experience in a similar role
QUALITY & SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AUDITOR
THE ROLE
The internal Quality and Safety Auditor ensures organizational processes and goods and services that result comply with internal company requirements of standards as well as customer and regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop internal audit procedures, completed with audit checklists
- Evaluate production process for compliance with quality and safety requirements
- Organize and participate in quality and safety internal and external audits
- Identify and report areas where the business is meeting requirements as well as areas of concern for improvement
- Develop and standardize audit report and present to management team
- Create a registry of CARs and AOCs and track for effective close-out
- Carry out follow-up inspection to ensure corrective actions to CARs and AOCs are effectively implemented
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Detail oriented with meticulous work ethics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and abilities
- Must be able to work well with people at all levels of the organization
- Exceptional listening, communication and presentation skills
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a diverse team of auditors
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology, Environmental Science or relate field with more than 3 years’ experience in a similar role
