Job : Payroll Supervisor MRDC

 MRDC requires the services of a creative, energetic, result-oriented and dedicated individual for the position of Payroll Supervisor – Financial Services Division. This position is responsible for supervising all payroll-related activities and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all payroll items. The incumbent is to ensure to provide quality advice on conditions of employment, payroll issues and to ensure that payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner.  

The incumbent will directly report to the Manager – Tax & Payroll.


Key Responsibilities:

  • •Supervise payroll officer and activities for the different payroll entities;
  • •Ensure the accurate and timely payroll processing through the collection, computing, and documentation of payroll data;
  • •Audits, review and approve payroll processes;
  • •Ensure accurate withholding and submission of payroll taxes and other deductions;
  • •Prepare and meet all statutory reporting requirements, regulations, compliance for payroll taxes, withholding, and employer contribution;
  • •Assist employees to resolve issues relating to payroll inquiries promptly;
  • •Review payroll accounting journal entries and perform monthly payroll account reconciliations; and
  • •Ensuring records and process comply with MRDC policy and legal regulations.
  • Requirements:
  • •Diploma and/or Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required from a recognized University;
  • •Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Payroll or Accounts Payable function;
  • •Previous experience in payroll processing, accounting, or human resources;
  • •Has supervisory experience;
  • •Knowledgeable in compensation, benefits, taxes and insurance deductions;
  • •Strong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errors;
  • •Hands-on experience with Pronto Payroll software;
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office and Payroll software;
  • •People management experience;
  • •Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; and
  • •Strong attention to detail and is able to meet deadlines.
