TISA is seeking to recruit a Compliance Officer for our Legal & Compliance Department. Reporting to the Manager Compliance, the successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the TISA Group Compliance Management Framework is embedded within the organization.

The incumbent will analyze risk related to compliance and perform reviews, evaluations and audits relating to compliance issues/concerns within TISA Group and recommend changes to policy and training to implement regulatory changes. The incumbent will also act as a channel of communication to receive and direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Maintain Compliance Management Framework compliance across all TISA Group operations
- Provide support and advice to the management on the society’s compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports.
- Develop, implement, and communicate effective action plans in response to compliance violations.
- Evaluate the society’s operations to determine compliance risk.
- Ensure all TISA employees are coached on the latest regulations and the internal processes.
- Build and maintain relationships with external auditors and regulators.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance & Accounting or Law or related discipline
- Certified Compliance Professional (CCP)
- Minimum 3-5 years proven experience as a compliance officer or in-house counsel role preferably in a banking or financial industry.
- Good knowledge of the banking/finance industry regulations and best practices
- Good leadership skills with the ability to provide direction and training for team members
- Good planning and organization skills and a proven ability to delicately solve sensitive matters on given time
